this fellowship helped me to gain practical knowledge in the field of HR,
I got to know about the nuances of the HR field.
Apart from this being a fellow of Prayaana also helped me to realize the potential a woman has,

“Just wanted to share with you that I received Indian Excellence Award as Best voice over artist and singer of the year. I still remember it was you who first told me that Tejal you should go for voice overs you have that in you …and since then my life has changed🥰 I dedicate this award to you. Thank you for inspiring me and millions like me who look up to you . 🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️’

Yet another success story from Prayaana, dedicated to Dr. Chandravadhana. Tejal is a Fellow Alumni in Prayaana.

No matter which field you choose, if you have dedication and perseverance you are unstoppable.

After I finished grade 12, I chose to pursue a medical degree. Like the majority of Indian families, mine required me to choose between engineering and medicine. I selected medical. I was balancing physics, chemistry, and biology all the time. To release this stress I started writing, singing as those were my stress bus

ters. It was at that point that I realized I should be able to make these things my career if I’m so good at them and enjoy doing them. That evening, I couldn’t sleep. I started looking at several industries to see where I would fit professionally and, more importantly, what would make me happy. After a rigorous research eventually, I decided to pursue mass communication. My folks were startled to learn about this when I told them. People began to believe that I couldn’t practice medicine, it was out of my capacity which is why I was opting for arts. They felt I was under peer pressure, or to be more precise, I was with the wrong group of pals. And under such strain, my 12th grade was pretty poor.

My family gave up on me. I gave up all hope. But after that I realized I had to pursue mass communication. My parents eventually approved of this and soon I was granted admission to MIT ADT. And there my bachelor’s degree in mass communication began. I was aware that this was my one and only opportunity to demonstrate that you can excel in any career you choose. I began researching and studying, and I was having a great time. I never experienced studying as a burden. I was having fun with all the assignments. Additionally, I was chosen for our media team during my very first year of my bachelor’s, and I had the opportunity to interview the celebrity guests. It was after that when my parents contacted me crying and said they were proud of me and the decision I made. With each day that went by, my success graph rose, and eventually, I was a university topper. With a gold medal and my parents full of pride and joy I could see satisfaction and happiness in their teary eyes. My parents began to receive numerous phone calls at that time expressing their pride in me for pursuing something new, adventurous and eradicating all career-related stereotypes.
In my quest to learn more, I discovered the field of voiceovers. At the same time, I was undertaking an internship at Prayaana. It was in one of our meetings in which our CEO Chandra ma’m told me that I should try doing voiceovers as I had a good, influencing voice. And then I finally decided to give it a shot. I received an unexpected prize from my academy as “Best voice-over Artist”. I lent my voice for various television commercials, Akashvani programs, audiobooks etc. Thereafter I soon received a nomination for the Indian Excellence Awards in the voice over and singing categories. On my way, I bagged the title of Best Voiceover Artist and Singer of the Year”.

It’s high time people realize that I wanted to do what I wanted to do, not because I couldn’t perform medicine but because I was aspiring for something else. My parents allowed me to chose my career according to my interest, and as a result, I am now living life to the fullest. I’m pursuing a Masters degree in mass communication while also engaging in all the activities I’ve always wanted to do, like singing, voiceover work, and anchoring with a solid self-earned financial foundation.

Long story short. It’s what you want to do in the end. Instead of regretting it later if you take a stand for yourself and make sure you achieve it. If you have the ability to dream make sure you have the ability to turn it into reality.

Ms. Divya Pai

I just came back after my run of 5km fun marathon conducted by Triumph wellness at Fort Kochi. I’m a runner from 2011. But after marriage and kids i didn’t get time for my passion in fitness n career.

Today i completed 5km in a slow pace in 40 mts without any single minute break or walkathon. N my first fun marathon in Kochi.

After that i stood on te stage for a talk as a feedback on my running expr arranged by the team. And holding a mic addressing a small public after long yrs was with my confidence was my another short term goal i achieved after i joined Udhayam batch. All the thanks goes to Dhanya mam for her motivational talks and guidance.

After all these yrs I’m back to kochi after 7yrs. Prayaana’s launch was the stepping stone for my return. Only in the last moment I thot i will attend Prayaana’s launch. I attended the event with my 3 yrs old. After that launch I attended 2 interviews which I accidentally applied for te ads. Unfortunately no one short listed me. But I’m confident some day i will make it. I sat on the interviewee seat after a long gap.

So thanks to Prayaana team and Dr Chandra mam for making me to look back on my life.
