C2C Trivandrum

While addressing a gathering of over 100 women who attended the C2C (Comeback 2 Career) Meet on 27th June at BHub, Trivandrum, Dr.Beena opined that the greatest barrier to a woman’s career is not glass ceiling but her own mindset . Women have to take steps to break it. She expressed her high opinion and appreciation to Prayaana and its ideals to bring to the forefront, women who have had a career break. She went on to say that this is just the beginning of a silent revolution and as a growing economy, we cannot afford to have the fifty percent of the population not contributing to the workforce. She further said that the break period is not a time wasted but actually a time gained for improving our capabilities. She urged the women to do what makes them happy. She was eloquent about women in career and how a woman with her dreams should pursue the same. She also spoke about how the women in her family have been leaders and set an example for her to follow. She later mentioned about various women entrepreneurship support initiatives for women by KSIDC and invited the women to avail the same.
